ABDIRAHMAN IFTIN
Chairman
Abdirahman Iftin provides strategic leadership and organizational oversight for SAJEM. With a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance and a master’s degree in Finance, he brings expertise in financial leadership, organizational management, community development, and Somali affairs.
His understanding of the social, economic, and cultural dynamics affecting Somali communities helps guide SAJEM’s long-term direction and community-centered approach.

ZEYTUN ADEN
Vice Chairwoman
Zeytun Aden helps lead SAJEM’s work in community empowerment, education, and equitable representation.

ABDI MOHAMUD
Spokesman
Abdi Mohamud represents SAJEM in public engagement, media communications, and stakeholder relations. As a former Chairman, he helped shape the organization’s strategic direction, strengthen its governance, and expand its community impact.
He holds a Master’s degree in Global Security, bringing expertise in international affairs, conflict dynamics, policy development, leadership, and advocacy.

ABUBAKAR MOHAMED
Abubakar Mohamed supports SAJEM’s organizational coordination, documentation, communications, and leadership operations. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a master’s degree in Social Work and also brings professional experience in taxation and client services. His multidisciplinary background strengthens SAJEM’s administrative capacity and understanding of the systems affecting individuals and families.

HAMADI MUYA
Hamadi Muya leads SAJEM’s international engagement and supports the development of relationships among diaspora communities, advocacy networks, and global stakeholders. He brings experience in community development, strategic planning, and human rights advocacy and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. His healthcare background provides an additional perspective on public health, community resilience, and the needs of vulnerable populations.
